Hinge for JVC L-A10 Turntable - help please

Hi everyone,

I am trying to restore a JVC L-A10 Turntable for my son's bedroom. I've replaced the belt and stylus (cost way more than the value of the TT!). I have also lubricated it and it plays and looks pretty good.

I washed the perspex lid in the bath and it came up looking really like new. But I am short of one hinge and I was wondering if anyone had anything that would suit to enable me to complete this project.

I'd be willing to pay postage and packing or alternatively I could donate an album from my collection.

I have hopefully included a couple of pictures. I live near to Reading in the UK.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Ian

You will find that this is the same as the hinge used on Linn and many other turntables.

Usually available on Ebay, you might find a single, new ones are around £20 a pair.
I do have a used one, not quite the same moulding as yours but it would fit, you are welcome if it helps.

Thanks Alan. I have sent you a PM. I don't think the JVC TT quite merits the cost of the Linn hinges!

Best regards

Hi Alan,

Received the hinge in the post this morning. As you said it does the job just fine. Many, many thanks. I'm just waiting for a new belt - got one on ebay but guess what it was too big! what a way to make money selling belts - and some people charging £1.99 for postage!

Thanks again

Ian

Hello! I also have this model and I'm missing both hinges for the dust cover. I could use some help finding affordable replacements.

Can anyone tell if these would work?

If not, can you point me toward the right kind?

I've taken this turntable for granted for many years. I've just decided to fix it up a bit and am finding out how much I don't know! (For example, it took me a while to realize that it has a Stanton cartridge/stylus, not the OEM.)

Thanks in advance,
Amy
