Garrard 301 in custom plinth, with SME 3009 improved

Post by simonineaston » 25 May 2004 17:05

I have a spotless ivory white 301 (oil bearing) in a very nicely proportioned, custom made plinth. The plinth is made from several thicknesses of MDF, and is very weighty, as befits a 301!
The plinth has been carefully constructed and has well positioned appetures for mains and phono leads. It is finished in satin black and has rebates running around the sides to break up the appearance of what would otherwise be quite a "massy" appearing object.
(email me for photos...)
The arm is your good old SME 3009 improved (fixed head shell) and benefits from an original SME fluid damping trough.
I have a 3012 which you might persude me to fit to this deck instead of the 3009.
You can ring me on 0117 955 6555 (Bristol UK) if you want to chat about this or any other deck!
I am looking for offers in the region of £500 for this combination, mainly because all 3 items - tt, plinth and arm - are in near mint condition.
