Vinyl LPS

Post by mikegreenwood » 02 Aug 2019 10:25

Long list including Beatles, Queen, LED Zeppelin, Ten cc, ABBA, DSOTM, Carpenters, ELO, etc.
Condition of vinyl is near mint as possible, covers 8/10.
Difficult to value but inspection and negotiation welcome. Location NE. UK.
No first pressing but lots of 70s.

Migh be interesting in a swap for a nice turntable. Had a dealer look at them, he picked it 20 or so and offered £100. Given the cond. I think they are worth more. Open to inspection if you’re within an easy distances .

Haven't figured out yet why people think their albums are worth so much more then they really are. Check out Discogs.
These are $5.00 albums.
Sorry

I assume you turned down the offer and are looking for more? Ideally, you should list them here individually, or as a lot, with a clear price or value of the turntable you are thinking of swapping the records for.

mikegreenwood..
seriously. check out the value of your albums on discogs.com.
It's world wide pricing. Also, remember a dealer buys at 50% less at least. They have to be able to mark it up and make a profit.

All very common albums. Dealer will offer you maybe $50.00 at the most.

I have been a dealer for many years. I don't need these LPs, as I am trying to wind down, but I would not be sniffy and describe them as 'very common' . Some will fetch good prices if you list them sparately and indicate what you want for them. You should rate the conditions fairly according to, for example, Record Collector's price guidelines. Plenty of guidance on the internet. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice both positive and negative. Condition of the vinyl is mint. Really looking for someone who wants to listen and less interested in what the run out groove has on it. Sound quality is great and I’m not in a hurry to sell/off load. Had dealers offer mush more than indicated in replies. Happy for inspection and audition.

If the records have been played they cannot be "mint"
