Empire EXL 10 vintage moving iron phono cartridge with brand new JICO stylus. Tested, sounds great!
The EXL 10 was based on Empire's 2000 Series of 4-coil moving iron carts. In my opinion, its sound and performance bear a remarkable similarity to that of the Stanton 680/681 and Pickering XV-15.
The JICO stylus is every bit as good as the original and has the all-important soldered tension wire, which you will not find in most other aftermarket styli.
The price is $60 and that includes free shipping within the USA.

Re: For Sale: Empire EXL 10 Phono Cartridge with Brand New Stylus
Someone asked about the specs of the JICO stylus. It has a .3x.7mil elliptical diamond and tracks at 1.75g to 2.25g. It's pretty much identical to the original Empire stylus. And unlike the styli from Pfanstiehl and EVG, this is a true Moving Iron stylus with no magnet in it. It sounds and performs exactly like the original. JICO sells this stylus for $60, so it's like you're getting the cartridge body for free. :)
