I am not certain of their age, I am pretty sure that they were made for use in microphones. They work quite well as step ups for MC cartridges, I used them for a while.
They only have one set of inputs and one set of outputs, so the step up ratio is fixed at about 1:10.5
When I used them they were wired thus:
Yellow: input+
Green: input -
White: output +
Black: output -
They have tapped holes on the bottom for mounting, screws included. About 1 3/8" long and 1 1/8" in diameter.
Price is $24 shipped in the continental US (lower 48), I will ship elsewhere but will have to check the cost.
Thanks,
David
