The Tag Mclaren PPA20 is a MM/MC phono pre-amplifier with versatile input switching.

It is dedicated to those who ant to get the very best out of their vinyl records.

It can accept the output of two turntables and includes the capability to fine tune the signals of both independently.

The PPA20 also has switchable filters to enhance your enjoyment of older records which may be damaged or where recorded using non-standard equalisation.

Features include: straight-line technology, dual-mono design, precision RIAA equalisation, independent inputs for two turntables, three gain settings and automatic muting.

Input impedance: 470 or 47k ohms

Gain: 38, 58 or 67dB

Signal to noise ratio: greater than 75dB

Frequency response: 10 to 20,000Hz

Total harmonic distortion: 0.003% (MM), 0.006% (MC)

Channel separation: greater than 98dB

Channel balance: +-1.5dB

Low frequency IEC filter: -3dB at 20Hz, 6dB octave slope

The Tag Mclaren PPA-20 is one of the best-equipped phono stages available. Resolution is excellent, but timing is marginally behind the best.
