Sharp Optonica RP-7100H


The Optonica RP7100 is a quartz-locked, direct drive turntable featuring Sharp's Automatic Program Locate Device.

Using a second arm alongside the main tone arm tube, the APLD system is able to locate gaps between tracks allowing instant track access and programming.

Despite it's track selection feature the RP-7100 cannot be recommended on the basis of either it's technical or subjective performance; in fact it's less expensive brother the RP-5100 represents much better value for money - £179 HiFi Choice 1983

Cartridge weight range 4 to 12 grams
A cartridge with a total height of over 19mm including needle cannot be applied to the head of the arm.
The cartridge should be mounted a distance of 50-51mm from the rubber grommet plug end to stylus tip.
