noisy/faulty pots in general

Some may frown, but I have found WD40 is THE best thing for curing crackly pots. With contact cleaners which generally evaporate completely I have found that sometimes the fault returns...with WD40 it never has done...

Cleaning the speed controller knobs

My KD-550 (I didn't use it for tree years) doesn't keep accurate speed at 45 rpm.

I don't know how I can clean the speed controller knob.

Could someone help me?

Thank you.

Cleaning speed pots

"When you put on a record, it’s an event."

I used DeoxIT D5 cleanaer. The trick is to get it into the pot, turn it back and forth about 20 times, and then let it rest until it dries overnight or for a day. Twisting it back and forth once it's dried will help too. Feeling and listening for the drag to disipate is the key.

Thank you, John.
