mk1 had a gold anodised arm tube and cartridge azimuth adjustment via a collar behind the headshell.

mk1 gold had gold plated counterweights, inner gimbal and anti-skate mechanism. VdH D202 cable was a cost option.

mk2 was finished in gloss black and featured a fixed headshell and line contact vertical bearings.

mk2 silver had silver wiring throughout.

The Aureus had a lively, refined sound coupled with good looks; no obvious emphasis on any part of the musical spectrum, no matter how loud the music became; crisp, tight bass - mk2 £375 What HiFi 1991
