A friend of mine is looking at these two machines. which is a better deal and sounds better.

Both look like well-made machines, but knowing Harry Weisfeld's approach to 'table design and construction and VPI's product support and service, I would personally choose the Traveler.

That said, I'd also probably opt for the Traveler, but more because it is US made, and likely more easy to address warranty issues.

Interesting. I've read the link, I don't think this should be a problem since he would have the dealer assemble it and make sure it works..
