Shure M70EJ - Opinions?

Postby Fishtails » 29 Nov 2012 05:50

Hi

This cartridge came with one of my DUAL tt's.

Anyone got any opinions on it? Is it low, mid or high quality?

Cheers

I'd say mid but with the right stylus, high-mid...it's basically a M75 with a .0004 mil x .0007 mil stylus that tracks between 1.5 to 3 grams and a different plastic mounting design.

I'm wondering why Shure issued so many different cartridges that appear to have the same body. Different markets? Different production runs? Factory seconds? Shure was/is a big company and has been around for a long time, there must be some former employees out there that can shed some light on this... [-o<

Fishtails, have you given it a listen? Which Dual turntable are you running it in?
