I've read that the stylus on the K9 can be replaced but I understand that Linn no longer make these? Is anyone aware of a dealer in the UK who may still have these in stock?

If I can get hold of one, is it an easy job, is it even worthwhile or would I be better off getting a new cart? I really don't want to spend anymore that £100 on a new cart.

My Linn looks a just a bit corroded at the end (I appreciate that you can't see the tip of the stylus on this image, but if the rest is to go by I'm assuming that its well passed its sell by date). Anyway, I have no idea how old the stylus is so a new one won't do any harm either way and at least I'll know where I am.

This will be on an SME 3009 series II improved, sat on a Thorens TD160 Super.

After a fair bit of reading I can see that the stylus is no longer available anywhere, so will be looking for a cartridge replacement.

Nothing to see here.

Marvelous, cheers.

Heck of a lot cheaper than a new cart!

The AT95E stylus should fit but looks a bit of a bodge :? If you aren't bothered about the looks it's a cheap way to get running again.

The AT95E elliptical cartridge also comes in HyperElliptical (AT95HE) and shibata (AT95SA) flavours. If the AT95e stylus is compatible with the K9 I guess you could also use the hyperelliptical and shibata styli.
