Hello,
The receiver is a Marantz Model Eighteen. I have owned at least 20 different Marantz receivers and in my opinion, the 18 is the best, even better than the Model Nineteen. These sound much better than the 2200 and 2300 series receivers including the famed 2270 and 2325. Incredible phono stage! That of course depends that the 18 is working properly. The cart is a NOS stanton, not sure which model but defintely not a dj cart. The AR and Marantz do pair together very well both sonically and aesthetically. A great vintage set up that can be had on a tight budget!

happy spinning!

Thanks, I have that information. My stereo was stolen in the late 70's. It was bought used. My wife and I could not afford to replace it. I have kept all the records all these years. I finally wanted to try to duplicate what I had, and play those records again. I payed his asking price, wired the money, And later sent more money for shipping. I feel like I have had it stolen from me again. thank you, mackeyboy

There must be a way to block this guy from doing this again, just block the IP-nr. Stupid people is not wanted in a serious forum where We all like to discuss, ask, answer, sell and buy stuff for our nice hobby.

So far I've never been blown at Ebay and I have bought a nice amount of things from there.

hallo,

start a thread about this in the off topic section up top.
maybe there is someone who lives close by and can drive by for you.
this shouldn't happen in a forum, and this is the way to make sure it wont happen again.
imform the rest of the members here about the problem.

regards,
