Motorhead - Kiss of Death.
Nouvelle Vague (I love this album, especially 'To Drunk To F**k).

I'm hoping to pick up some vinyl at Scotlands biggest record fair in Glasgow in a months time. I've kind of milked what I'm interested in from my local dealer. I usually find something at the fair but the last one was pretty poor.

Used but minty-fresh "Tattoo You", The Rolling Stones. The cover is only so-so but the vinyl is like new. They had another copy for twice the price, nicer cover but the disc had some light scratches. I think I made the correct choice. :)

In Selectadisc Nottingham today

Pete Molinari - Walking Off The Map

kinda dylanesque singer song writer. Recorded in Billy Childish's kitchen ... and sounds it, but that's sort of a good thing.

Studio 1 Rub a Dub

exactly what it says on the sleeve :)

The Shins new 7" - Phantom Limb

Great band and can't wait til the new album is out. The single is interesting because for some reason the A side is 33rpm and the B side is a 45rpm multigroove - two parallel songs and which you get happens at random depending where you drop the needle. Made even more confusing by putting the labels on the wrong side (they can't get the staff you know :) )

Purchases...

Postby blakep » 06 Feb 2007 21:15

Just picked up a very mint looking Blue Note/United Artists 1973 dark blue label reissue of Cannonball Adderly's "Somethin' Else". Traded a couple of records I bought on the weekend for $2 a piece at a garage sale to one of the local dealers.

Off to clean it right now. It'll be spinning tonight.
