Technics SL1100 Stop Button Doesn't Work Sometimes

Postby en_dgc » 03 Dec 2003 15:39

Sometimes when I press the stop button the turntable does not stop unless I hold the button down. Whenever this problem occurs, the turntable speed will vary or slow down for short bursts while trying to play a record. I have a service manual, but I would like to know what componant would be the possible suspect. Anyone's help would be greatly appreciated.

FYI: this problem does not occur all the time. Could a transistor be leaking, or is there a bad electrolitic cap?

Thanks

Dan

Have you tried to clean the stop button contacts first ?
It may be as simple as that !

Good luck,
