SL-95B Questions

Postby Newkirk » 25 Jul 2012 22:14

Hello All,

I'm a newbie here, so here goes on my first post.

SL-95B cueing - was it damped like some TT's or do you have to lower the tone arm gently using the lever ?

I'm hot on the trail for an anti-skating assembly for the SL-95B PN# 74753. Doesn't have to be new, can be salvaged from a parts donor. Can anyone help ?

It is damped.
Due to the grease became solid, the autostart is often hard while the manual cueing with te right tab is smooth.
Be careful to not insert oil into the damping system itself !

I have a Garrard 95B for parts. Can you describe the part you need? I don't know names.

I did some adjusting on my tone arm, now it drops more quickly than it used to... not a complete gravity dive, but not as slowly and carefully as it did before. I'm not sure if there's a way to fix that.

Go to the Library section under "Garrard" and download the "Damping Fluid" service bulletin.
