anyone have any experience with Dr. Dual?

Postby tacoguthrie » 22 Sep 2009 22:59

I have a Dual that I'd like to be refurbished and I found a website for one Dr. Dual.

He seems to specialize in duals but before sending my player across the country to him I'm looking for some reviews.

Has anyone dealt with him before? I'm wondering what kind of reputation he has.

thanks

I've just heard about the Dr. on internet sites (audiogon, audiokarma and the like) but I have no personal dealing with him. I have dealt with Bill Neumann @ fixmydual.com and was very satisfied (CS-701).

All-in-One electronics in Toronto is the North American distributor for Dual, and have a repair service for pretty much anything electronic. Reasonable rates, too.

Cheers,

I'm in Canada so it would be too expensive to ship it across the border for repair or I'd send it to the guy at fixmydual.

What has been said on the other sites? A quick google search came up empty.

Maybe you have already shipped your tt off. I have used fixmy dual and would highly recommend them as very competent to refurbish your tt. Bill rebuilt a 1229 for me last year and did an excellent job.

Sorry to raise this old post, but unfortunately All-In-One electronics has closed it's doors. This Doctor Dual is about an hours drive from me and wonder since this thread was started a while ago, has anyone had experience with this gentleman. My 1229 needs it's lube job and I am not techy enough to do it!.....Dave

For sure. His prices are quite reasonable! Actually pretty cheap.
