Pic of your part of the world?

anything and nothing

here are a couple of pics I took of where I live, in Glorious Devon. It is of a coastal village called Beer, believe it or not, surely man's favourite location! The local quarry supplied stone for over half of the Norman cathedrals in England, as well as St. Pauls and the Tower of London.

The shot below was taken early doors into the morning sun, as my partner set up for an arts and craft fair in the village hall.

Without wishing to make anyone paranoid about this kind of thing ( I already am!) some may want to take my experiences with this kind of exposure as a warning. I once made the mistake of revealing the suburb I lived in on an audio forum and posting on another thread photos of my house. Soon after I was burgled of all my audio gear. They caught the buggers as a neighbour took the number plate of the truck they were loading and called the police. It came out during the court case that these creeps run a scheme that monitors photography, car, electronics and art forums searching for stuff to burgle. They even take orders in advance and then search for them. I presume, like those Nigerian scam emails, the racket is still operating. So, be careful how much you reveal on any forum.
So all I'm attaching ( if I can figure how to do it) shots of the view over my back fence and of the back garden.
Can't figure out how to attach more that one file per post. Clues anyone?

This is where I like to be whenever I can. Imagine that with a beer in your hand the sun shining and some tunes playing on your MP3 player. Damn, some days you don't even need to catch the fish

Not my photo, but I have taken similar, and have been there. This is the steep descent into the natural entrance of the local cavern. It's a tough descent, stressing parts of the legs which don't usually get stressed.

heh thanks. Nah, it's only about 2.5 acres total, but it is nice and quiet out here. Here's a picture along the front edge of my house, looking at my front yard.

This one is from one of the rare times it's snowed. We only get snow about one winter in five or so down here in the South.

I have a couple of homes on a lake in Michigan as well. Here are a few pics from there:

Some of the more scenic locations in my area.

Slightly less scenic (last one should definitely give away my location)
