JMW tonearm centre hole

It's a bit intriguing that the screw on the top-plate of a Koetsu perfectly aligns to the centre hole of the JMW9 Signature headshell when overhang is set according to the VPI jig:

22540

Anyone have any idea what this is all about? Are there other cartridges with similar screws? What does the screw do?

Similar to a Rega arm and cartridge, I believe they have a hole for mounting a Rega cartridge to thier arm ?? But I have never had either, so just a guess.

I believe the Rega hole is farther forward.
