i've got a late 60s/early 70s antoria les paul, with seymour duncan 59 pickups on it. i also have a squier strat which i modified into a bit of a super strat with BC rich warlock pickups, pointy headstock, and pearlescent purple paint job.
and an ovation applause acoustic.
i've got rid of a few as i just was'nt playing them anymore, (family, work etc), but i seem to be playing a bit again...

Funny how that works sometimes. I played in a working 3 piece power rock trio in the late 70's/early 80's and owned dozens of guitars. Sold all of them when I got a "real" job except a 65 Fender F-65 acoustic and 79 Gibson GK-55 (a stripped down Les Paul that was my 1st decent electric). I hadn't played the GK-55 in 20 years until my son started playing drums in his own classic rock cover band a few years ago. Now I'm playing almost every day and jamming with a local blues band on the weekends.

Thanks Mick. It's been a joy watching the kids grow as musicians.

I put together a pretty decent PA system for them too.

Some of these pics have been put up in the thread on my project but now it's in the house I can post my listening area.

It's still in its infancy, the speakers need to have stands to raise them up, the TT still has some little niggles to iron out but it plays well. I am soon to be changing the coffee table for an audio stand and the Yammy amp may be replaced with a Quad 44 pre-amp and a pair of 303 power amps. I also have on its way a Sugden A48 amp but I'm not sure of its condition.

So far it's as follows:

Audio:
Systemdek IIX with a Linn Basik L VX arm and Ortofon (?) cartridge
Erm you may not recognise the Systemdek it's a little different from the norm
A pair of Mission 735's (to be added as rears a pair of KEF CRESTA 2's and a Mission center)
Yamaha DSP-A592 Natural Sound AV Amp
Sony DVP-NS700V SACD/DVD player
MP3's from the iPhone or computer backup. 150GB stored away on a Phillips 500GB external hard drive.
The Plasma ball (very important to remove all the static from the air avoiding dust and little bits of rubbish from falling on the vinyl - well that's what I told the wife )

AV:

50' Tele
5.1 Surround sound processor
HDMI DVD player

Sony PS3 for blueray and the WII for fun

This is my bedroom, where I have my two-channel system with the turntable. I'll shoot another image when the Pro-Ject gets here.


This is a second master bedroom where I have some hand-me-down stuff


and this is my living room, where my home cinema is


...and in the next room (sunroom) is the A/V rack for the living room system.
This room also has ceiling speakers in place, mostly for the cats to listen to music.

don't forget The Stray Cats, and Cat Stevens, and if they feel frisky, maybe some Pussycat Dolls.

When I have some extra time and money, I'll be taking those two windows out and putting that 36U rack in the wall. The sunroom was built from a converted patio, so the window was a hold-over from that upgrade. It'll look nice framed in the living room wall.

Serious speaker issues! The mission Floorstanders are in the corners but for the moment that's all the space I have. The plan is to move the TV to the end wall then have the speakers set below with the TT on a stand directly below that the surround sound in each corner. It'll free up the current TV stand for components and Laptop/seperate drive for MP3's. Also a space for the LP's
