Just put my copy on the turntable to keep you company . Haven't listened to it for years ( probably the late 80s!) but it is rather good . I think I'll put a few more of their 45s on before bed .
So which ones are you still missing ?

To go along with this album that came in the mail today ..... QUEEN - SHEER HEART ATTACK 180g VINYL.

22004

I got these today at a Goodwill Store across the river from me ... I don't expect you know what the hell that means but basically it is a different one than I usually go to.

Firstly these are all in GREAT shape. I left some lesser shape ones there, I do not like dealing with scratchy records and hoping they sound good. usually they don;t and the original owner never change the stylus either destroying the grooves. So I pass on those usually.

BOSTON - FIRST ALBUM got this one because the sleeve was mint and had original shrink with promo stickers on it. I love that .... yeah this makes my 4th copy of the LP but so what it was 99 cents.

PETER PAUL AND MARY - 10 YEARS TOGETHER Replaces my melted edge version and i am extremely pleased that I found this for 99 cents. It is a reissue and not an original but i will survive.

AVERAGE WHITE BAND - SOUL SEARCHING been wanting this for a while .... 99 cents

PETER PAUL AND MARY - ALBUM 1700 Original Pressing! 99 cents w00t!

THE GRADUATE SOUNDTRACK!!!! WOW WHAT A FIND! Simon and Garfunkel and the album cover is just nice nostalgia to own. 49 cents!!!

PATTON MOVIE SOUNDTRACK!! Again great nostaligic album to own from a great movie. I love movie memorabilia on vinyl!! 99 cents!!

CHARTBUSTERS COMPILATION with ummmm metal coned girl on the cover. I don;t care who you are, THAT'S HOT! It has everyone from The Hollies on it The Everly brothers. Good find 99 cents!!

BLACK OAK ARKANSAS - HIGH ON THE HOG great record, glad to have it on vinyl finally!! 99 cents!

OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN - THE CLEARLY LOVE ALBUM Great record only if you are an ONJ fan. 99 cents

THE CHRISTOPHER PARKENING ALBUM great guitarist, great record. 99 cents.

MEL BROOK AND CARL REINER - THE 2000 YEAR OLD MAN COMEDY this I did not expect. I love mel brooks!!! yep 99 cents!

22029

Plus I got a new tape deck for $4.99 with dual auto-reverse. My tape deck I bought in 1989 is pretty much dead at this point so I needed a new one. Can't beat the price.

A couple orders came in today!

Really great stuff, recommended by blackwaterrisin on this very site! Great album. Pass it on!

And now for my Estrus mail order selection. I am in awe of some of these albums. I can't believe I was able to get some of these...

My Mono Men album collection is nearly complete. The Stop Draggin' Me Down cover is a thing of beauty, as is the Man or Astroman? album. For me, Estrus Records has to be my most reliable label of all time. Great rock and roll, cool cover art...the total package! Not a very active label aside from some recent reissues, but I know that if I see the Estrus mark, I'm gonna get kick-ass, no-nonsense rock and roll. The head of Estrus, Dave Crider, was a founding member of the Mono Men, and his latest group is the DT's, who I can't recommend enough. Great rock and roll, with a singer who just WAILS. She has a kind of Janis Joplin thing going on that really works. Bad ass stuff. If I had to pick, I think Hard Fixed (snakeskin) is slightly better than the other, but only slightly.
I know it's only rock & roll, but I like it.

Great score on that Fu Manchu. I saw that was being reissued. I had an original copy that came with an iron-on patch, but sold it to a friend that was more of a fan than I. I regret that. I at least still have copies of The Action is GO! and King of the Road (my personal fave).
I know it's only rock & roll, but I like it.

Exchanged some old unwanted CD's for Cash today in (shudder)CEX, took said money straight to the record store and picked up:

Bob Marley - Exodus
Lynyrd Skynyrd - (pronounced leh-nerd'skin-'nerd)
Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene
Ac/DC - High Voltage (Cartoon sleeve)
Journey - Escape
Easy Rider OST
Bruce Springsteen - Glory Days (poster sleeve 4 track)

A good mornings digging, then off to the Plymouth Hoe to bask in the sunshine all afternoon :)

Oooohhhh nice .... I need that Skynyrd! That is a nice get. I have the AC/DC original pressing. The story with mine is my older brother had a fire and that was one of the records I had borrowed so it was spared. he lost his entire collection unfortunately and never rebuilt his vinyl.

Okay my good get for today ... I won't post anything that looks like spam here but i have a seller on Discogs saved that is amazing. I bought only one record from him but it told me enough to know that I should save him as his description was excellent. More importantly his prices are even better for what you get.

I just got BLACK SABBATH - MOB RULES in MINT shape for $8. The thing is this is the first online purchase I do not have to clean as a used record! He cleaned it and perfectly with some sort of record cleaning machine I presume. It had literally nothing on it ... no sleeve dust NOTHING. This has never happened to me before lol.

Anyway the record is perfect and like new. I can trust his NM NM- ratings. he seems to only sell NM or NM- also. Obviously a real record dealer and not some estate reseller.

Anyway ... even the sleeve was as described. It had zero marks and is mint.

it only had a small sticker marked $18 on it. probably cleaning out his non-sales in his store.

Sure i can do that absolutely. His prices are excellent and the records are great.

I just didn't want to violate any board policies on spam or whatever being relatively new I played it safe lol.

This is his seller page there. http://www.discogs.com/seller/Vinylrequest

I suppose if it is a violation someone can remove it. I think it is a helpful link ... hope he has what you are looking for.

I was impressed by the prices and shipping costs. My first thought was I'm sure the records are that good at that price but they are. He has them rated properly and is honest.

I also got a tracking number for the order and got it quickly. I just wish he had more of what I needed even though he does have over 1,000 albums listed. The point being they are all VG+ and up in rating with most being NM or M-.

I just never bought a record used that I didn't have to clean, it was rather shocking to be honest. No pops or noises at all in the lead in told me the record was cleaned properly before sale.

POST EDIT:

I don't know where my head was at, my apologies. I just took a photo. This was a NM M- listing he had that I bought. The record is dirtier from me playing it than when it came and the sleeve is as described with NO marks or creases. That doesn't mean all his listings are like that but he clearly mentions when it isn't, has a saw cut or a cut corner when they are there to report and this purchase was just $8 as a NM M- record and NM M- sleeve! Same on eBay would be $19.99 and up easy.
