Repair for Denon DL-110?

I destroyed the stylus cantilever on my Denon DL-110 through pure clumsiness. Is there anyway to repair the cartridge? It will need a new cantilever and diamond. I know there is no replaceable stylus for this cartridge, but perhaps Denon can repair, or I'm just out $139.

There are several companies that will replace styli on moving coil cartridges, sadly it will cost you a minimum of $150 plus postage etc to get the Denon up to working order. Sadly the most practical option is to buy another and take a little more care in future, if it makes you feel any better I had 3 MC's die on me or were broken in the space of about 2 weeks, none of which were practical to get repaired.

Do Denon still do an exchange deal on their MCs in UK ?

Looking at UK MC repairs, I have seen that Goldring offer a service on any make of cartridge; has anybody used them ?

Are there any other repair services in UK?

In the UK? I know Expert Stylus and Cartridge Company. They have done several jobs for me, consistng of retipping, and cantilever replacement with excellent results and prices.

Your particular Denon might be better replaced with an original.

But if you want a repair which includes some sort of upgrade (a sapphire cantilever and Paratrace Diamond?) you might request information from them. Highly recommended!
