Once got talked into buying a Richard Clayderman album, a good friend used to rave about him, now I skip past these albums in the charity shops.

Other than that I respect just about every record I have ever bought, the music traces my life and experiences, good and bad.

Just watched that Youtube of Herb Alpert. Man, those dancers sure make me feel old and irrelevant!

Wait, I missed the part about how and why Herb Albert is embarrassing? Tell me that again when you're sipping your Courvoisier with your best lady, listening to some of A&M's finest offerings.

I feel more embarrassed about my Return to Forever albums, and I got them for free

Maybe I'm mistaken, but didn't they use Herb Alpert music as theme songs for "The Newlywed Game" and "The Dating Game"? That's embarrassing!

Hey, at least it was used during the same time period and was appropriate to the shows' content. Wait, am I sensing a lot of people here don't like polyester and excessive body hair or something?

I'm embarrassed that Led Zeppelin was used to sell Cadillacs...

I know, what IS the proper term for lip-synching when it refers to a trumpet anyway?
I know it's only rock & roll, but I like it.

The weird thing is that he really DID play the trumpet, right? But he seems to be just messing around with the fingering. Not even caring if it looks plausible.

I bought an Erasure record on purpose... just for the record. Love "A Little Respect."

Most embarrassing? Hmmmm.... i bought a box of 50 or so that had a bunch of crap in it, but that shouldn't count against me, right?

I bought this for the album art... just awful. Unlistenable... Image

I also bought an album by Rufus... but I'm not apologizing for that! FUNKY.

Surprisingly despite all this i do not feel it is an embarrassing record to purchase ... I own a handful of his records and like them.

There are some pretty embarrassing ones in this thread though lol.
