Shaun Cassidy.

At least you weren't alone in buying that album, I'm assuming it was the same one my sister had. Oh wait, she had both "Shaun Cassidy" and "Born Late", lucky me. I think he must have sold in the tens of millions across the globe. Crap, I just gave myself a "Teen Dream" earworm...

On the other hand, there's only the proud, the few, that know just how bad Clannad's style of epic new age dribble is/was. Like Enya on downers.

My brother got both of these one year for his birthday from a well-meaning aunt. I don't think he was too pleased.

You get a pass for that, hormones do what hormones do. I own a lot of Olivia Newton John stuff for the same reason.

Ummm not the reason for the Village people album above though .... no no no.

Ruh Roh...that IS coming clean....

Have to be hones, I was just doing a quick confession...totally left my ONJ's off the confession list..though I no longer have them...think I had the first 8-9 of hers...my ex made me sell them at a yard sale long ago...the trade was I would unload Olivia if she would unload her Donna Summers... Needless to say, those were about 15 records that did not have to divided up as part of the divorce. :=)

I can relate--my ex had some awful crap. The entire 12 years we were married, our albums never intermingled and were stored in two separate cupboards. Think that was an omen for our marriage? I was afraid of what his Perry Como and Andy Williams would do to my Beatles and alt rock. There was no discussion of whose records were whose when we split!

Yep...pretty much, she kept all her Cliff Richard, Status Quo & Euro disco stuff - appologies to any fans - but I'm OK the way it turned out. :-)

This is kind of a guilty pleasure and embarrassment rolled into one, since I don't intend to stop. I buy Herb Alpert & TJB albums when I find them, and I confess I actually enjoy listening to them! Just two days ago I bought a mint-quality pressing of HA & TJB's Greatest Hits Vol. 2, and I find it delightful. Aside from this, I actually have pretty good taste (uh, I think).

Herb Alpert rules! No need to be ashamed. So let's all pull our copies of Whipped Cream and Other Delights out of the closet and crank that easy listening schmaltz! Here's my personal favorite!
