Sounds like the resonance is too high... just as a simple experiment, try the coin on the headshell trick...

Perhaps you are heading in the wrong direction for that stylus! - you may need more mass rather than less.

If you need less mass, the resonance would not be audible as runaway bass - you might see woofer pumping, but it would all be sub-sonic... it would affect high frequency tracking rather than bass.

But if the resonance is too high (need more mass) - then your can get a massive bass boost.

By that logic I have mounted a V15 mk 3 and Jico SAS on the ADC headshell..The sound is a touch lightweight just now,,but it is a brand new stylus assembly..I am definitely thinking of a 12 gm Sumikp headshell for the AT95e..The M97xe sounded good before one of the lugs,,which I can't find for the life of me broke off..I may at some point buy another and mount it in the original headshell..Having different headshells does seem like fun,but could end up expensive..Aligning the sylus geometry of a Jico sas is not fun,, :lol:
