Picked up some oldies I like. God I love music so much.
I found these at a Goodwill store and all were 99 cents except one which was 50 cents.
The first one is the South Pacific Soundtrack, there are some great musical moments on this including one of the most romantic songs ever recorded. Some Enchanted Evening.
This vinyl copy is pristine and minty, nice find for me. Also it is a nice almost new gatefold cover!
Look at the store reciept still inside the sleeve! Oct. 17th 1959 in Boston. I am not too far from Boston in Maine.

next is a real gem. A 1949 MINTY FRESH copy of Gregory Peck and Loretta Young reading each a Christmas story. One - I'm a huge movie buff .... two ... IT'S GREGORY PECK!! Such a great voice.
I still cannot believe I found this in mint shape at a Goodwill store for 99 cents. Really???
The record weighs a ton and I was afraid to wash it as I didn;t know what it was made of so I researched and then cleaned it like a standard record. It still makes noise but is pristine and I attribute it to not very good record making in 1949 more than anything because it IS clean. It has a couple of air bubbles in the record from manufacture that make pops as well when they pass. *shrug*

Got a very nice 1962 Jazz compilation, I love jazz and the fidelity of this record is superb. Nice clean crisp record with great percussion sounds like the cymbals which sound like they are in the room with you.

The next one is a 1959 Hires Root Beer Promotional Compilation. Great record and also minty fresh except for side 1 which has a large scratch down the entire length of the side BUT when played it barely makes any noise, I was shocked. The cover has a writing pen home circling of a specific title as well, not bad really. Took a chance and it paid off. Highlights include Unchained Melody sung by Gisele and also the cool 50s rock an roll song Sugar Bowl 50s rockabilly from the Boston area Chip Fisher.

This one I bought for the cover lol. The music isn't very good and while the record looks mint it sounds damaged like the vinyl was damaged from the elements or someone used the the wrong fluid for a record cleaner at one time. The grooves sound bad. great cover though!!

Duke Ellington's greatest Hits LIVE. A great find, the record is like new. 99 cents!

The last one is a good compilation and it is MINT quality vinyl. I love it when vinyl sounds this clean after a good cleaning.
