Why not VPI? The Scout is very nice if you love a detailed presentation. And it's also local to you. SOTA is another make to consider. Listen to some setups if you can. All of your candidates do at least one thing outstanding.

In that company i feel the Rega RP6 is a better candidate then the less costly RP3.

I have a Marantz TT-15S1 and here in Norway it gives superb value for money comared to its larger Clearaudio brothers.
I also have a Rega P9 and it is quite better then TT-15S1 when comes to dynamics and digging out the last details on my records, but the TT-15S1 sounds very relaxed and more warm and laidback.

I would certainly rate the TT-15S1 better then the Clearaudio Concept.
The sum (in $$$) of Clearaudio parts used on the TT-15S1 is 2-1 comapred to the Concept.
The TT-15S1 has a better cart and upgraded Emotion plinith, feet and platter compared to the Concept.

yea, I was thinking about the scout as I heard very good things about it not to mention is has a very good name . no place to listen to any setups around here .Im trying to move up from an mmf5 .. thought I would try the rega route with mods but started thinking , for a bit more $ , I can have a scout.

If you have any issue with isolation from foot falls or other vibrations, then consider at least a Sota Sapphire. You should be able to find a fairly unused one for your budget.

From your list, it's Scout all the way. It's extremely well built, sounds great, is upgradeable, and you get VPI's great support.

I would say the exact same thing about the Marantz on the list. Fantastic VFM considering it is 40% cheaper then the player it is based on ( Clearaudio Emotion SE ) Actually even better with a very nice cart and better isolated feet included in the deal :D

Snapshot of mine in action :)

I've owned the Scout and the Concept. I would go for the Concept, I thought it sounded better. It was not thin sounding and had better bass than the Scout (not deeper just better defined. Now if you want a TT upgrade go with the Scout JMHO

Lets assume that you to a certain extent get what you pay for. The turntable that the Marantz TT-15S1 is based on is over twice as expensive as the Concept with the cart. The Marantz is extremly "underpriced" when you sum up the Clearaudio parts used.

I agree on that . 875 for a cart plus another 800 or so for the arm and you get a free platter, plinth, feet, motor, belt, box, etc ...
