I'm a new proud owner of a second-hand Thorens TD 535 but I'm also a complete turntable newbie,so I need some suggestions how to use it in the right way.

Could you expand a bit on what you mean by suggestions?
Do you mean suggestions about what cartridges to use? or suggestions about setting it up or what kind of amplifier to use it with? Or ideas about servicing it?
Is that the kind of thing you mean?
