Volume pot help.

Postby robgil » 31 Mar 2012 00:28

My old pot is dual concentric, it has two shafts that turn independently and each one controls each channel volume.
I have to put in a new one and will be putting in a stereo volume pot, an Alps RK27.
My old dual concentric pot has 20KAX2 written on it , is that a 40 KA pot? (2 x 20)

Lovely , thank you.
So this one should do the job?

Would there be any point/benefit in putting one in with different values?

If it physically fits, that should work fine. Alps has a good reputation for quality. You want to stick to the design value. Good luck!
