Dual 1245 with SP Decca attachment

Hi all ,

Still a newbie to my newfound interest in Dual Turntables...

My latest pickup is a Dual 1245 and i cannot figure out what this SP Decca attachment is ??

and i can't figure out how to load the pic

it is a small 2" x 2" x 1/2" silver box with a mini antenna that sits at the back of the table by the tonearm weight

Looks like it might be part of a cuing device, but its not obvious why you would need one on an automatic. And it looks like if it is a cuing device, some parts are missing.
I tried googling Deccalift and Deccamanulift and didn't see anything exactly like your thing.
I believe the SP on it means Decca Special Products.

Maybe a cleaning arm rode on the post, but then again it may have sent signals to the F.B.I or Interpol if you played vinyl that was encoded with material that could be considered a national security breach!!!

Does it have an AC line cord? Looks like a bulk eraser for reel to reel tapes.
