Hey guys..

I landed here in Tainan, southern city in Taiwan, for business and unexpectedly found a records store. They don't have a great selection and covers are in real poor condition, however, records are in almost mint shape.

Anyone with Taiwanese pressings experiences?!? I didn't want to buy thinking they may sound aweful! Quite cheep also, average price is US$3.0...

There was a copy of Crime of the Century, just for collecting porpoises.

Please let me know!

Cheers

At $3 a go, not that much to lose out on in reality. Probably worth a try.

The only thing I would be wary of is that Taiwan used to be the fake and copy centre of the world back in the late 70's/80's and usually pretty bad fakes at that. I remember a shop selling whatever branded speaker you could wish for and they all used the same drivers just in a different cabinet. Dreadful sounding to boot.

Lol, don't get me wrong, COTC is my favourite album ever, in case it sounds rubbish, then it just adds to my Greek, Italian and brittish copies...

Yesterday I went back to the shop and found a shelve that I missed last time, got 2 Neil young ones and Innervissions... These were USA pressings at 10 US dollars each.

Thank you for replying.

Cheers
