I did see that but never questioned if it was Delrin etc. Your P2 looks like a real keeper. MS always made nice arms.
That RP3 Frank posted is sharp looking too.
That might be the better route to go rather than a stock RP6, me thinks.

I have a custom plinth that houses all Rega parts and constructed to the old Rega Planar II dimensions plus/minus 1-2 mm

I would like to get this platter, but I have not been able to get the dimensions so I can determine whether or not it will fit over the sub-platter and motor/pulley assembly

I have heard of cases where some platters rub on the motor pulley

Would someone be so kind as to post the following dimensions of this platter
- Diameter of, and Depth of the Sub-platter Recess on the underside
- Platter Diameter and Thickness

Many Thanks in advance

Hi, what is the center to center distance between the motor pulley and subplatter spindle?
Are you using the stock Rega belt and subplatter?
What is the distance from the top of the plinth to the top of the motor pulley?
I can tell you if it will work if you give me those dimensions.

All measurements made with a vernier caliper
Distance between centres - 74mm
Using an ISOKinectic sup platter
Plinth to Top of pulley - 10.5 mm

Many Thanks

I would contact them for dimensions. I'm sure they will be more than happy to accommodate your request.

Excellent info. I'm considering the Delrin platter also. Can the dust cover still be closed with it? Does anyone have some kind of mat on top of it?

Also, will any adjustments have to be made to the cart as it is now if I get the Delrin Platter?

Black is the dark sides colour. Good choice. Look forward to your impressions...

The GT Delrin Platter is the same height as the glass platter when fitted, also no problem with the dust cover why would there be? If you use spacers on your arm they should stay the same height. No clamps or mat!

OK. I've been doing some serious listening to the Delrin Platter. First impressions are pretty freakn' awesome, I'm getting a totally different sound with it compared to the glass platter and Herbie Way Excellent mat. First off, everything is tighten up alot. More depth/better focused image. Toned down the highs quite a bit (first thing I noticed really) to the way it was before they seemed to be scattered around. More mid-bass. Bass tighten up some. Presentation has some more airyness to it. Also, the background got quieter it seems. I will be listening to this platter for quiet awhile now to see the differences on other LPs. So far, this is a BIG WINNER for me. A very nice improvement over the glass/Herbie combo. :D

Another positive impression for the after-market parts manufacturer's. :D

The only problem I endured was the reduction of grip between record and platter. I have to be careful how much pressure I put on the dust brush

Yea, taking the vinyl on and off may slide a little bit.
I use the Herbie's Supersonic Stabilizer, which has nothing to do with the removal of the record.
Really the only weight or clamp that works without killing anything.
Enjoy!

so you dont use any mat??

doesnt that raise the chance of the record being scratched?
