Cabbage Patch Elvis wrote:ROME by Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi. A tribute of sorts to Morricone, they've gone so far as to feature session musicians and vocalists who worked with the maestro himself. Featuring vocals by Jack White and Norah Jones. Fantastic mood music.

Got it on CD, it's not bad at all!

Beatles : Abbey Road
Paul Simon : Rhythm of the Saints
Radiohead : The Bends
U2 : Joshua Tree

and on CD , Lana Del Ray , the track Video Games is just majestic!

Hi,
did you guys see the recent photo of Paul McArtney being kissed by Lady Gaga? Paul looks old in that picture, and these bogus photos should be forbidden! I know Paul is a lot younger than that photographer made him look. Have you ever...? Pheeeeew.

Hank Garland - MOVE! The Best of Hank Garland. Extremely smooth jazz guitar genius!
I know it's only rock & roll, but I like it.

If PMcC stopped wearing his wig, he'd look a lot older!

Iron Maiden - No Prayer For The Dying

Not so often this gets a spin. Not my favourite, but it somehow sounds better now than when I heard it the first time.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Long After Dark

I'm not a big Petty fan, but this album is really good and sounds fantastic. Really open and detailed soundstage. The drum tracks are very detailed. There is a sticker on the cover that reads "Limited Edition Premium Pressing", what ever that means. Looks to be a 1st pressing Backstreet Records.

Milt Jackson, J. J. Johnson, Ray Brown, etc, "Jackson, Johnson, Brown, & Company", Pablo 2310-897

Be-bop? Hard-Bop? Post-Bop? I dunno but my first listen to this and a VERY nice 1983 studio date. Worth seeking out if you like this kinda thing.
