It seems the alleged state of the economy of Greece is most agreeable to the robust good health of the Greek population, Dr Pan K.

I am sure the troubles will eventually disappear. Things are 'tight' in many countries and here as well.

Hi,

UNSOLICITED TESTIMONIAL:

in justice to Blue's Red Devil, I must say the following:
My substantial experience with that cartridge body (identical to Stanton 500 inside and out. Identical in ALL respects). Responds admirably to an improved mechanical assembly.

What Blue has done is a perfect diagnosis and focus on solutions to the previously abandoned devil:
1- new low-mass cantilever (NOT a Pirate's Leg graft!)
2- new sophisticated stylus (Gyger II)
3- new pivot material
4- new and LOWER MASS magnet
5- new and dedicated suspension/damper
6- new and better multi-strand holding wire...a sort of "secret" unique improvement.
7- total cosmetic makeover

It's only too bad this gem caught me in the midst of legal expenses.
But this cartridge is assuredly the very best version of this model, and THAT is substantially good. Goes to show what enlightened personal care and tuning can do.

This particular modification (re-engineering?) is precisely my vision of the IDEAL upgrade of this cartridge.

Regards,
bauzace50

PS I see it's time to dust below the platter mat

That has to be the coolest thing I've seen in a while.

Awesome.

Yeah, looks just like an Asatic MF 100 or 200.

Possibly a Magnetic Flux cartridge.

Check the database here.

Yes, a definite family resemblance to my Astatic MF-200 :D

If you do enough research on the net you will come across a chart that shows specs of the Glanz and Astatic moving flux lines, cartridge by cartridge. I can't remember where I found it, and I should have made a point of keeping it but I didn't, but it's out there.

How's this for good luck? It appears that you have a Glanz MFG 51L.

If this is your model you will be able to find its specs in the Library here!

Beautiful picture, as always!

I never was able to lay hands on an "Entre" cartridge, although they produced an impressive range of Moving Coils.

What does it sound like?
