Threading a new belt on the turntable

Postby Lindt97g » 01 Feb 2012 20:18

I have a Sanyo TP525 B Turntable. I have a new belt for it but can not find out how to put the new belt on. I know this turntable is 27 years old but there must be someone out there who has knowledge of how to change this belt. HELP! Thankyou. This machine works like a charm and I really do not want to throw it out. Sanyo could not help.

Remove mat, and lift off platter. If it sticks, tap the spindle with the handle of a screwdriver while lifting.
Clean the belt path with isopropyl alcohol.
Put the new belt around the inner ring. With a finger through one of the access holes and under the belt, replace the platter, and slip the belt over the drive spindle/pulley.

Cheers,
Alec
Keep them spinning.
