Search for Huang Li and The Saints.
She's still singing apparently!

Most of the records are um... overly popular, I guess. I bought the Etta Jones one because I thought I read about her in a magazine, but it wasn't her.

Did it have the free 7" single with it by any chance?
The first three Ultravox albums, the Island ones with John Foxx, Ultravox, Ha Ha Ha and Systems Of Romance are all pretty much essential and well worth tracking down, all are far superior to the "Midge Ure era".

What 7" single is that?
Funny you should mention that about Ultavox. My daughter (13) and I listened to the whole album. I was reading about it online, and people said the last track:
"Money from the first album was used to improve the band's equipment, and funded the purchase of an ARP Odyssey and, most notably, a Roland TR-77 drum machine, which appeared on the album's final track, "Hiroshima Mon Amour". This song was the most indicative of the group's later synth-pop direction, and remains both a fan and critical favourite.[3][4] "
And both my daughter and I disliked that track the most out of any of the tracks on the album. Go figure.
Thanks for the tips on the other titles. I will look out for those. Is there an "if you like this band, you'll like this band" thread on here?
Also... you know what I need? A 911 call to someone who knows his sh*t, so when I am browsing I can say, "Hey, should I get this?"
Thanks!
Another fun one I bought is an Audiophile collection of old rock n' roll songs made in 1980. It's by Shulman, I think is the producer. It has a version of Louie Louie on it where I can actually tell what he is singing for the most part. It's so crisp and clear. The album touts the weight of the vinyl and the equipment used to press the record along with lots of other technical data about the remix.
