I guess I'm getting around to buying the jico stylus a little late. It seems to have been pretty steady in the $170's for quite some time now... I keep waiting to see if it will go down, but doesn't seem to be.
And I agree with you that Andrew Jones probably spent some time on the crossover's with these speakers. This is one of the things the pioneer website mentions. I think I even remember seeing him saying something about the 6 component crossover having a lot to do with the quality of sound he achieved with these, along with the rigid, true curved cabinets. I'm sure Andrew voiced these speakers according to technical data, along with what sounded the best to him... given the cost constraints.
