Normally I only buy new vinyl when it is about "modern" music, bloody expensive so I don't do it very often, this time I got:

Coldplay - A Rush of Blood to the Head. Capitol Vaults edition.
Coldplay - X&Y. Capitol Vaults Edition.
Portishead - Dummy
Snow Patrol - Fallen Empires. This one is a 45 RPM, great sounding.

Around £90 all of them. Chile is not a vinyl nation, yet.

Cheers
This damn vinyl addiction is leaving me alone...

Used, possible first pressing of The 3 Sounds "Bottom Up" fromm Blue Note #4100.

Took some serious cleaning including removing hardened debris(with isopropyl and q-tip). Its is listenable now. Crackles a bit, but still enjoyable.

The Band of Horses (new). Not played yet.

Going back Monday to pick up used The 3 Sounds first album (original pressing) Blue Note #1600. Probably as crappy as "Bottom Up", but covers are in great shape. Real collectors items I think.

I bought a 12" 45 of Gregory Isaacs single release, "Losing Weight" on the Blue Mountain label. A song bobbling and bubbling around my mind occasionally for 20 some years. Finally tried scouring the net with what lyrics I could remember and I ascertained the artist and song title today. Caramba!!!!! Heard it on a radio show one'st.

I too have a song in my head from a college radio jazz show in the 70's or possibly early 80's. It was Chaka Khan singing live with Roy Ayers. Probably not even a good song, but dang I loved it at the time. I still haven't found Chaka on any Roy Ayers albums. Something about "summer."

My life, my life, my life... In the sunshine. 'Everybody Loves The Sunshine'...

*don't ever remember an official version of it (with Chaka Khan), perhaps it was a bootleg?

The only Banshees album I dont have on vinyl, pretty rare and when one comes up its usually in the 35-50 quid price range, had it on my Discogs wish list and one came up last week priced at 2.99!! Guy obviously didn't know what he was selling, it arrived today and is near mint................result!!!
