No need on the Debut. The stock Ortofon and the Nag are similar in height. The Rega carts are shorter so shimming is required if you move to a non Rega cart in most cases.

Yeah no idea on the pops. Been hoping for some help on here but so far no one has been able to oblige.

theinkd, I see your point. I've had a Rega p1 for over 3 years and for the past year I've had my MP110 on it, and it's the best in all respects of my Ortofons and Shures > no issues with tracking, IGD, etc. Haven't tried my denon DL110 on it yet. It is a pain to change the cart on the Rega so I bought a used 1200MKII which allows me to change carts "on the fly" as you said. However, I do like the musicality of the Rega more so than the 1200. By the way, I've not put any shims on the Rega to raise up the arm. By using a 3 by 5 lined no matter what I put on it index card my arm is very much in the level position.

Actually I own a 1200 and I get the pop on one of my Nags on that one too. The table was new two years ago.

Btw if you get the 1200 use the Ortofon headhshells. The added mass damps the arm, looks better and has better quality cartridge leads. I own Rega and Project but the 1200 gets most of the love because ofmthe ability to do quick cartridge swaps.

My MP10 started doing it after 4 months of use in the early summer. Not in the dry staticy winter when I bought it. My Mp110 started doing do it on a different table and phono pre after about two weeks of use.

I am wonder it is because the stylus assembly is slight loose on a couple of these. My old MP11 and MP 110 on two other tables do not have these issues.
