My DIY Turntable

Postby VNSSOUND » 23 Dec 2011 05:20

Dear all. We are small team addicted to LP sound and try to re-produce the very famous Brand name of the Turntable in the World that is the Micro Seiki.
From the beginning, we decided to build the RX-5000 Model.

Lovely stuff 8)

I see evidence of a very substantial investment. Is that a sand casting in your first pic?

Cheers and good luck from another Micro/Micro Seiki user (MR-711 & BL-51).

I also chose blue for the restored MR-711 as you can see.

My work is nothing compared to yours. Just some electronic repairs, stripping into loose parts, cleaning, airbrushing basecoat/clearcoat auto paint and fabricating lid hinges.

Is yours a commercial project?

Regards

For a hobbyist your work is just incredible. I am exceptionally impressed with both the speakers and the turntable. To say you CNC the whole of the casting is just impressive in its own right.

Anything I have ever done this direction pales in comparrison.

I take my hat off to you. =D> =D> =D>

I get so jealous of skills like that. Also the effort people in places like Vietnam make to communicate with lazy westerners who can just about manage ONE language! That means me, before anyone else gets upset. [-X . I am old enough to still think of Vietnam as a war zone!
