I'm not sure i'd want to use Nextel, in my experience it always ends up a sticky mess, iirc Celestion covered their SL600? speaker cabinets with the stuff and they always looked a mess. Was it Meridian that used it on their pre/power amps?

Not my covering of choice

And Sugden. My old (and missed) A48II looked grubby so quickly.

By way of an update, I gave the blue nextel top plate on the LPT a good scrub with soapy water using a toothbrush and isopropyl alcohol for a couple of marks and the work was hardly worth it. A wipe with a damp cloth would probably have done as much good. I might go the respray route some day. Whilst I had the turntable disassembled I bonded some ash veneer to the sides of the plinth and resprayed it in satin black paint and that has noticeably smartened up the deck. Having 'gone DC' I filled in the front openings for the power switch and LED before veneering over them. Cleaner lines now too!

Just can't keep away.

Cartridge is a chorus black.
Surprisingly no fan of the RB250/300 as I am this sounds surprisingly good

Looks very nice...

I had a Roksan Corus Black on my PT TOO/RB300 many years ago - nice robust-sounding cartridge, with plenty of detail.
