RCA Cable Seperate Ground Wire

Postby lynxo » 04 Oct 2011 16:32

Hi,

I want to replace the cheapy stock RCA cable that came with the rpm 1.3
for the ground wire, does it matter if it's wrapped around my new
rca cable or not?

thanks

Hi,

yes, the rca's are shielded, standard coax type.

the stock cables are just too darn loose.

if it's shielded there is no need for the ground wire?

thanks

Well you need a ground or you will probably get a hum. Kinda sounds like you are using two different cables all together? If so, if I where you I would just go and get a good quality phono leads.
