Umm, yes, shipping. I've not yet looked into that yet, Coffee Phil, how badly do you want it? If shipping gets much North of $10 I'd like some help.
It's a Rondine 2, and I can post some photos if you want. If not for my sister (who sold the AR 2a speakers for $10), I'd have a whole 'first rate' mid sixties stereo (HH Scott amp and tuner).
Thanks,
Ed

But shipping tables in order that they get to their destination is good shape is a bit of a challenge, and I'm sure that who ever gets this would be happy to advise about, and pay for, a little extra TLC in packing.
I'm happy for whoever gets it, but I'd hate to have them recieve a bashed up table. And packing is a bit of a challenge -- not enormous -- but throwing it in a box with some crumpled newspaper (as too many people do) is probably about the same as taking it to the dump, only it costs more.

I've not yet investigated to see if it can be tightened down for shipping, and I certainly understand that concern. I'll get back to you when I figure out that aspect.
I hear appropriate noises when I turn it on, but the belt has been long gone.

Conrad Hoffman wrote:I have one of these with the old Rek-O-Kut arm. The bearing spindle is a massive thing with an oil groove, and the motor is a Pabst. IMO, the real value is if you want to use the platter, bearing and motor in a new plinth with a modern tone arm. Polish the edge of the platter with Mother's Mag Wheel Polish from the auto store. These Rek-O-Kuts are Great Stuff!
