Where in the world...?

Hello Stefano

I forgot! My other Italian friend (Enzo Vaccaro) originally came from Genova. He (at +-70 years old) is still a 'student' of Italian music and opera and has one of the biggest record collections I know of.

Yes, even here, there are small signs of a return to vinyl. There was actually a new Clearaudio tt in a shop window recently. Somewhere in Johannesburg, is also another guy (Mark Eardley of audionut), importing new vinyl.

In the meantime, I am happy to buy incredible music and sound on vinyl for amost nix from charity stores, libraries and other places. I bought 13 mint records today from a library nearby (a couple of Archiv, RCA Living Stereo, Erato etc for the equivalent of US$6.- and these were not abused library records, they were part of regular record donations to the library donated by dear old people clearing their homes...still believing vinyl is dead.

Good weekend

Hi Blue,
sadly I don't know in person Enzo Vaccaro, anyway I would be much glad to contact him, by saying I've been in contact with Blue :)

I've not been so lucky as you have been, anyway no later than 2 days ago I just bought around ten 2.nd hand LP for around 15EUR: the typical price of a CD...

Hi Blue,
you're welcome, it's common in english speaking people :)

But, i'd like to ask your opinion on this: as I already described, I reworked a bit my Rega, by cutting away the more Alu I could (e.g. rounded the headshell corners).

Now I can see the corners of my actual cartridge body (a G1042) under the headshell. These corners are quite far from the two bolts, have horizontal vivid edges and have no function.

So I was thinking of dremeling them away, by rounding the front of cartridge upper mounting platform. Aside from a rebalancing of the arm, do you think that there might be any drawback?

Thanks in advance,
Stefano

I be livin' in North East Georgia. No, I ain't talkin' bout' no fake Georgia country near those Rushins. I mean the real Georgia, down south here in tha' Bible Belt.

All alcohol is banned here since the Taliban rose to power. Women must wear berkas made out of stonewashed denim.

I dream one day I can move to more liberal country like North Korea but for now I remain.

Must go now - if I stay logged on too long they may be able to trace my position.
