I agree. That record came out in the US in the Summer of 1964. There weren't any other singles that were so darkly atmospheric or down-right spooky coming from any of the other British Invasion acts. Most of them were so sunny, up-beat and perky in comparison.
For another thing, I hadn't heard an electric piano play the central role in a song other than "What I'd Say" by Ray Charles. My copy was released on Parrot records and had a very cool B-side, as well ("You Make Me Feel Good").
