What Turntable do you use?

the good, the bad and the ugly

I currently have a 1986 Townshend Rock II with plinth and cover, which I bought new in 1986 funily enough. It has a Moth variant of the RB250 which had been rewire from cart tags to phonos and foam filled by AO and has a OL stub and counterweight. It origonally came with a Denon DL110, I have had Goldring Eroica, 1022Gx and 1042 fitted and currently have turned full circle and have a DL110 fitted, with a 1042 in the cupboard.

Currently using a Thorens TD125 Mk II. Rehoused in a plinth from the late Fisherman Henk. The TP16 was rewired by Johnny at Audio Origami. The whole lot (including the motor control circuit) was then serviced by Colin at Audio T in Enfield, using new belt, oil, etc from Joel Boutreux. I'm really happy with it. The finishing touches will be a new acrylic dust cover, and a new cartridge. Then I'm done fixing and can concentrate on buying more LPs!

It's an amazing TT for sure Fred, but have you noticed a somewhat sobering detail: When The Terminator stated menacingly, "I'll be back" in the early 1980's, it could never have anticipated returning as an exotic high-end tonearm...

Chopsrr, I had to do a double take. I have a Denon atop Salamader set with a Yamaha piece of gear at the top right. But your tt is prettier. What model Denon?

Relative Newbie here. Greetings to All. Here is an iPhone snap of my Thorens TD2010. The record on the platter is the Spectrum/Captain Memphis/Tim Love Lee 7" on Great Pop Supplement.

I'm a boring guy.

The main player is a Linn LP12, black ItokLVll, Linn Asaka, Lingo, Cirkus.

My 'office' turntable is a Denon DP51F with a Linn K5.

But I'm really happy with them.
