You couldnt have a look for a pair of Dahlquist DQ10 bass drivers (ref Smith)whilst you were there I would much appreciate it.

Well I gave up last month and got shot of the hulking great cabs.

Funny thing is my current speakers were refoamed by him (under their former ownership) back when he still seemed to act in a professional manner.

No, heard nothing - but then again I wasn't especially expecting to.

Hi-fi World no longer carry his details - I suspect he's given up.

I'm currently in contact with Trading Standards.

Shame really! He obviously used to do a good job at one time.

Slightly strange response which I've just noticed having not been on here for a while - not certain how one might have checked?!

Hi, apologies for the bump for an old thread

This was the best source of info on DK Loudspeakers I could find on the net, so I have signed up here to ask if anyone can provide assistance

I too send a pair of quite expensive (to me at least) speakers to Dave, along with a cheque for £108... The cheque has been cashed, and I've left many answerphone messages over a period of months, none of which have been replied too

Can anyone advise on a method to contact DK Loudspeakers? I'm getting quite desperate and concerned here :(

It seems like we're all in the same boat here!

Someone I know personally looked on the internet, found this thread and phoned me because he also has some drivers with DK. I said that as Dave's uncontactable by any means it might be best to turn up on his doorstep the next time you're in Essex.

The other alternative is just to accept you've lost everything you've sent him (like I now have) and move on.

Thanks for the reply

Shame about the bad news there :(

I'd hate to lose the speakers, as they are a matching part of a surround set... Changing one of the speakers will unfortunately ruin the whole system

Has anyone thought to approach trading standards?

I've tried Trading Standards - not got that far with them, but I'm not giving up just yet. However, I fully understand Jon's thoughts on this sorry tale.

Im still getting fobbed off about these speakers... Lied to about when they will be ready

We may be best to approach Trading Standards as a group... Who else currently has their speakers for repair with DK Loudspeakers?
