Weight balance for SPU Meister with SME 3009s2

My brother gave me one SPU Silver Meister. I don't know if it is A or GM type. It is on the way. Currently I have rebuilt Thorens 124 and SME 3009s2. I learned SME 3009r can balance weight up to 33.5grams without headshell. But I don't know about maximum weight of SME 3009s2 without headshell. My technician told me it will be OK. In worst case, he can make extra weight to balance. I hope I can afford SME 3012 this time. Can anybody help me about this? I downloaded the manual of SME3009s2 but can't open it. Can anybody tell me how to open it? Thanks in advance, Inho

Have you typed the password? If not, it´s thevinylsolution. I will try to find some information about the SME 3009 and SPU meister pickups. I have a friend who uses that combo.

Hello again If you want to know which PU you´ve got you have to give me your e-mail adress so that I can send you pictures of the two PUs. The GM is a much longer PU than the A which is almost cubical. /Piotr

I don´t think that the 3009/S2 can handle a Ortofon SPU meister. This i s a list of SMEs counterweights for the 3009/S2: BALANCE WEIGHTS - Standard and Special Standard balance weights are marked thus * . Thanks all. With the help of pictures, I found it is Meister GM. Heavier than A. I will try to mover counterweight to the maximum to look what gong to happpen. Also, I have to send e-mail to SME. I am wondering what they are going to say. Thanks very much again, Inho
