Hi mjhoms
I only saw your PM today so sorry for the late reply, but apprently you do not accept PM`s so I`ll have to reply this way.
In answer to your question:

I`m really sorry but b asically I took the PCB into Maplins and got like for like replacement components but it was more that I asked them to change part for part rather than really studied the components myself or used a diagram.
I have no plans to take my RD40 apart for a while and as you probably know to get at the CB requires a hell of a faff and fiddle about.
The best I can suggest is that I know of only 2 turntables that use this same motor, which has an oddly narrow diameter / small circumference - The Ariston RD40 and the Ariston RD50.
I have done up 2 RD50`s and on both the motor and CB were the same as an RD40.
Maybe try a post on here and see if anyone knows the schematics / CB layout for the RD50? You never know someone with an RD50 may even be willing to slip the bottom their RD50 and have a look for you?
Good luck
Bubba.

Hi again mjhoms
Scrub what I just said. Go to the Ariston section of the library on here and check the instructions for the RD40.
It has 2 sets of CB schematics for the AC motor.
Cheers again
