I am looking for a platter for an Ariston RD11 Superieur. Must be in good condition. Will pay a fair price.

Thats a big ask.I would think it quite unlikely for anyone to have one of these platters spare. That table is too valuable (and rare) for anyone to scrap.Might be worthwhile taking a lump of brass to a good machinist with the original dimensions and see if they can do one up for you.Bena on this forum might give you the dimensions if you dont have them, as he has one of these TT's.

Sorry atavid, mine is an RD90 Sup. I'll gladly measure the platter if it will help though :?:

Cheers,

Ben

Hi i have a RD11 Superieour which is undergoing refurbishing. However as far as the platter is concerned this is, unusually, a one piece job i.e there is no inner platter like a Linn or the earlier RD11,s and 80,s.
It comes complete with bearing shaft pressed in. I suppose the RD90 Super. must be similar. Making one is not really an option. I paid about £65 for mine but it came with no power supply and a duff Papst motor.
I have found a power supply and have repaired the motor which now works fine. All i need to do is fit one of my arms. I have a Syrinx PU2 and a PU3 but both need some work as yet. The other problem is arm mounts. Mine is SME so i could fit the PU2 as i have a SME plate for it.
Ahh problems, problems. Its a fine deck though and well worth trying to fix. :( :(

I'll be in the process of making an arm board for an SME when I'm back at work later this week. I'll let you know how I get on and may consider similar for others if it turns out well.

Not forgotten Bena, you can have the Linn board when I return as I need to take it as a template.
